The Wisconsin Warriors 17U boys team traveled to Milwaukee, WI playing at NY2LA’s Wisconsin Spring Showdown, where the talent level of play is top notch, a good measuring stick to use to analyze a player or team’s growth.

Though the Warriors didn’t leave with a win in the win/loss column, they were just experience and height away from winning two out of the three games, losing those games by a combined 9 points, losing by one point vs Top Five and eight points vs Region Force 17U at the Spring Showdown. Team 24:UP NY2L, a much more experienced team was sandwiched in between the games vs Top Five and Region Force 17U. Though 24:UP won by 15, the Warriors did a lot of things well against an elite talented team.

Against Region Force, it all came together for the Warriors with the upperclass leading the way and getting positive contributions from every player despite the loss.

The Warriors were led in scoring by 2025 Andrew Froeber finishing with 28 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Froeber has shown for the second straight week that he can hold his own on the offensive end with the ability to score at all 3 levels and as a facilitating point guard though he finished with only 2 assists.

2025 Eugene Hodges scored 24 points with 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Hodges took over scoring for the Warriors for a 3 minute stretch finishing with 15 points in those three minutes.
