2027 Nolan Helton
5’9″
PG
Kenosha Bradford HS, WI
AAU: Racine Truth (WI)
At Evolution Basketball’s Great Lakes Takeover tournament, Helton was a standout prospect. As a point guard, Helton did a lot of things well.
One of the first things I noticed was that Nolan played with a controlled pace, didn’t get sped up, handled full court on-ball defense well. Besides running an offense extremely well, Helton did a lot of the small things well like being patient in pick and roll sets, ball distribution and passing, and knowing when he needed to get a bucket.
Defensively, Helton is a solid defender, plays solid on-ball and zone defense, and rebounds.
As a freshman playing up against elite competition, I was very impressed with Helton’s point guard abilities, basketball IQ and calm demeanor in a lot of situational basketball.
